Our Journey Since 2011
Gobarau Academy is a co-educational institution compromising of Nursery, Primary and Secondary sections. The school was officially opened on the 26th September, 2011 with sixteen teaching staff, ten non-teaching staff and sixty students (JSS 1 = 24, JSS2 = 16 and SSS 1 = 20) in the college section; and 27 pupils in Nursery/ Primary section.
The junior Secondary section was approved officially by the Katsina State Ministry of Educationi on 30th May, 2012; while the Senior Secondary was approved on October 31st, 2012. Within the three years of existence; Gobarau Academy has Three Hundred and Sixty-Five (365) students in the college and Four Hundred and Seventeen pupils in the Nursery and Primary sections with over Eighty-Five (5) teaching staff and Twenty (20) non-teaching staff.
On August 2014, the school has graduated her first SSS 3 students (SSS 3 = 31 students) who have sat for their final examinations (WASSCE and NECO).
BRIEF HISTORY OF GOBARAU ACADEMY KATSINA
Gobarau Academy Katsina is a co-educational day school. The school was established on 26th September 2011. It is located at the serene environment of Gidan Dawa in Katsina Metropolis for effective teaching and learning process.
Gobarau Academy is established to nurture the mind, create a good society and compete globally. The school ensures that every student discovers his/her potentials for the development of the society. That is why the school motto is: Education for Brighter Future.
The school is passionate about raising young men and women of integrity and discipline without discrimination to culture, religion or ethnicity.
Gobarau Academy has won several awards and prizes in major competitions at both State and National levels. Among which are: 1st position Senior Category Physics, 2016 Olympiad at State level; 1st position Senior Category Cowbell Mathematics Competition. Participated in 1st and 2nd rounds in National Cowbell Mathematics Competition, 2017.
The school graduated her first set of fully equipped SS3 students in 2014, with outstanding results in WAEC and has always recorded excellent performance in external examinations till date.
Many of our students continue to maintain the trait of excellence in tertiary institutions, home and abroad.
